This is a beginner/intermediate course that will help professionals working in the Monte Carlo radiation transport fields to understand the various functions and attributes of the newest FLUKA release. The FLUKA training course is organized by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and will be held at the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) from March 23rd to 27th 2026.

This course is designed for Master's and PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers from university research institutions. It will be taught directly by key members of the FLUKA development team, including the authors.
The curriculum covers the entire process, including software installation, writing simulation input files, and running FLUKA, with practical exercises incorporated throughout.
Registration process and dates
Note: To ensure instructors can prepare targeted course materials, we need to finalize the list of participants in advance. The registration deadline (including payment of registration fees) is:
Feb 1st, 2026
Like all previous courses, the intake is limited and acceptance will be on a first come/first served basis. In case the limit on the number of participants is exceeded during the registration stage, a waiting list will be set up.
Course fee
This course is an international non-profit program, strongly supported by Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf as the host institution.
The registration fees for participants is 500 €, covering tuition fees, coffee breaks, lunch, networking activities, etc., but excluding accommodation. Payment instructions will be communicated after you are accepted for the course.
To meet the requirements of the FLUKA development team and instructors, as well as to ensure the effectiveness of the course, it will be conducted in a small-class format, with a maximum of 25 participants. We encourage you to register as soon as possible. Please note that, after registration and payment, refunds will generally not be provided in the event of non-attendance (but transfers may be allowed).
